![]() ![]() Gripe #2: Why is the product too stupid to look at the partition tables on my system and realize that the Windows NTFS partition is slice 4 instead of slice 3? The product shouldn't assume that I'm using BootCamp. Gripe #1: I don't like the product referring to it as "BootCamp" booting. ![]() Granted, this is the large majority of users, but there \*are* power users out here that are:Ī) Not using BootCamp (it's largely worthless since all it does is utilize Disk Utility under the hood, and gets REALLY grumpy if you are trying to triple boot)ī) Run more than just Windows (I personally Triple Boot Mac OS X, Linux - Slackware if you care, and Windows) Mainly in that both products stupidly assume that anyone doing Multiboot is using BootCamp to manage a single Windows partition. This E-mail may sound a bit harsh, so I'll start off by saying that I love what you're doing, but I have a serious bitch about the way that multi-boot is handled with VMWare, so consider this constructive criticism from a power user of the most extreme type.Ĭall me pedantic, but I've got a serious beef with the way both Parallels and VMWare talk about "BootCamp" partitions. I hope a few of the VMWare developers are lurking on the list, or perhaps a few of the PMs? ![]()
